Morgan Rechtien

• Lifetime of involvement as player and coach
• 10 years of coaching at the club level and 7 years of coaching Middle School/High School
• Assistant Coach – 2016 State Championship at Hancock with Rick Rechtien and Jesse Rechtien
• Various club tournament championships, numerous gold bracket finishes.
• 5 teams win a Region Championship and go on to play in the USA Girls National Championships
• Gulf Coast Region High Performance coach and coach in the HP Nationals
• Works for the Gulf Coast Region with both indoor and sand volleyball
• Member of the team that started the AVCA Beach National Championships in 2012 that were held in Gulf Shores, AL. Which has now grown into The NCAA Sand National Championships
• Helped coach numerous sand volleyball athletes
• Helped 40+ players earn college scholarships and go on to play at the next level

Like his father Rick and brother Jesse, born and raised in Missouri where Morgan grew up playing volleyball competitively, moved to Mississippi in 2006 as a volunteer to help rebuild after Hurricane Katrina. He shortly along with his father and brother realized the need for a youth volleyball program in the southern region. In 2007 they formed MGCVC (now MATRIX) with just 12 players now serving 400+ athletes. To this day they are a part of the Gulf Coast Region in USA Volleyball which contains South MS, Coastal AL, and the panhandle of FL.
